Company Overview

Our client is a leading PSP working within high risk verticals such as iGaming, Adult, CBD, Forex and others. They hold licences in 5 jurisdictions themselves as well as having a bench of other acquirers they work with, which combined allows them to cover the EU, US, LatAm, UK, India, UAE and other jurisdictions. They have been very successful and are backed by a founder who self funded the business and provided an 8 year runway, so from a security perspective they are in a great position. To date all of their sales have been managed by a sister company, but with the growth of the business they are now looking to build a dedicated team focused purely on PSP sales, starting with a Head of Sales.

Role Summary

This role will be in an IC capacity to begin with, but with full flexibility to scale the team and take ownership longer term. You will report directly into the founders and be driving growth across all locations and industries, so full autonomy to do what you do best and win business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
  • Build and manage your own pipeline of merchants within high risk verticals
  • Identify and build relationships with senior decision makers globally
  • Be the dedicated face of PSP sales, separate from the wider group's orchestration business
  • Work closely with the founders on commercial strategy and where to focus growth
  • Lay the groundwork for a future sales team as the function grows
  • Keep accurate pipeline records and forecasting
  • Represent the business at industry events where needed
  • Consistently hit and exceed revenue targets

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise

  • Strong background in payments sales, ideally with direct experience selling into high risk verticals
  • Experience at an acquirer, PSP or payment orchestration business such as Paysafe, Trust Payments, Nuvei or similar would be very relevant
  • Candidates with operator side experience in iGaming, Forex, Adult or similar who have since moved into payments sales are also strongly encouraged to apply
  • A track record of carrying and exceeding a personal sales target
  • Comfortable selling into senior stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures
  • Experience building or scaling a sales function would be a bonus

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong commercial acumen and a genuine understanding of payments
  • Real knowledge of one or more high risk verticals
  • Motivated, resilient and comfortable in a fast moving environment
  • Confident operating with full autonomy
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Happy being hands on as an individual contributor while still thinking about how to grow the function long term
  • Ambitious, with a genuine desire to build and lead a team eventually

What You'll Get

  • Double OTE, uncapped
