About the Role

As a Senior Quality Engineer at Finova, you will provide high-level technical leadership across the quality engineering function. Operating with full autonomy, you will influence engineering standards, delivery culture, and business-critical decisions.

About you

  • A Natural Leader: You thrive on mentoring others and are passionate about elevating the collective skill set of an engineering organization.
  • Data-Driven: You rely on metrics and analytics to tell a story, justify decisions, and measure the success of quality initiatives.
  • Strategically Minded: You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can translate complex technical risks into clear business impacts for stakeholders.
  • An Innovator: You stay ahead of the curve, exploring how AI, ML, and emerging tools can be harnessed to optimise the testing lifecycle.
  • Process-Oriented: You have a disciplined approach to governance, with an eye for detail when it comes to RCCA and FMEA frameworks.
  • Communication Pro: You are as comfortable debating automation patterns with developers as you are presenting quality roadmaps to executives.

What will you be doing?

  • Setting the North Star: Defining the overarching quality strategy and governance standards that every delivery team will follow.
  • Architecting Frameworks: Designing and governing the automation framework strategy to ensure scalability and high-quality code across the board.
  • Pioneering AI Quality: Leading the charge on how we validate AI/ML features, from prompt engineering to detecting bias in data pipelines.
  • Managing Technical Risk: Facilitating FMEA workshops and making the 'go/no-go' calls on programme milestones based on rigorous risk assessment.
  • Building Resilience: Overseeing chaos and performance engineering efforts to ensure our cloud-native products are 'production-hardened'.
  • Closing the Loop: Leading deep-dive RCCA investigations for major incidents to ensure the same mistake never happens twice.
  • Empowering Teams: Acting as a mentor and consultant for quality engineers, helping them navigate their own technical and career growth.
