About the Role
- Work within the Implementation team, taking responsibility for all aspects of testing.
- Lead support for Clients and Client Implementation acceptance testing, helping meet client entry criteria and expectations.
- Contribute to continual improvements in the effectiveness and quality of testing across the product delivery and implementation lifecycle.
About you
- ISEB/ISTQB Certification in Software Testing – Practitioner.
- Strong delivery focus with good awareness of client demands and challenges.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Strong communication skills, internally and externally.
- Experience coordinating test teams and activities.
- Excellent knowledge of MSO software testing, including automation.
- Excellent test analysis skills for non‑scripted environments.
- Good knowledge of delivery and quality processes across all project lifecycle stages.
- Understanding of different software development methodologies and testing roles within them.
What will you be doing?
- Work closely with the MSO Client programme team to fully understand functional and business requirements.
- Lead implementation test campaigns, owning design, planning, execution, and quality assurance, and managing defect activities.
- Design test strategies for all required testing, adhering to the overall MSO Implementations Test Strategy.
- Execute manual and automated testing according to the delivery schedule.
- Report on progress during test campaigns and contribute to client‑facing completion reports.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of automated regression suites.
- Provide input into the assessment of test outcomes and quality measures to support stakeholder decisions and risk assessment.
- Ensure defects are effectively logged and assist in triage of client‑raised defects.
- Engage with clients and third parties for triage activities when required.
- Provide test input into change request impact assessments.
- Establish efficiencies and de‑duplication of test activities across delivery phases, supporting the development of the implementation test approach.
- Manage issues and risks proactively, escalating as appropriate to the Client Implementation work‑stream leads.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring realistic targets are set and managed.
- Provide client consultancy and represent MSO off‑site when required.
- Support continual improvement, standardisation, and process optimisation across implementation tests.
- Develop and share knowledge around Implementation Test practices and standards.
Key Relationships
- MSO Clients – support all areas of MSO testing, travelling off‑site as needed.
- Implementation Manager/Lead – collaborate with the Implementation management team to achieve deliverables.
- Implementation Team – work across various work‑streams and the Test Working Group.
- Product and Engineering teams – ensure the MSO Programme Test strategy is followed and share best practices.
- MSO Consultancy – collaborate with Client Delivery BCs and TCs to maintain a consistent client‑facing approach.
