About the Role

As a Platform Engineer, you are a driving force behind the stability and evolution of Finova’s multi‑cloud ecosystem. You bridge the gap between infrastructure and software delivery, ensuring our engineering teams can deploy securely and at pace. Your work is mission‑critical; from optimizing our AWS and Azure environments to refining CI/CD workflows, you will directly impact the efficiency of a platform that processes £50 billion in loans annually. This is a role for an engineer who wants to move beyond maintenance to design the next generation of resilient, high‑scale architecture.

About you

  • Cloud Versatile: You have proven experience managing production workloads in AWS (essential) and Azure (highly desirable).
  • IaC Expert: You possess deep proficiency with Terraform for managing complex, multi‑environment infrastructures.
  • Automation Specialist: You have a strong background in CI/CD tools, specifically Buildkite and GitHub Actions.
  • Security‑Conscious: You understand how to implement Identity Management, Secret Management, and Encryption within regulated financial environments.
  • A 'DevEx' Champion: You are passionate about removing developer friction and fostering a 'you build it, you run it' culture.
  • Analytically Minded: You enjoy identifying and fixing system bottlenecks, whether they relate to latency, cost, or process.

What will you be doing?
