Why this role matters: As a Senior Manager in Finance Automation & AI, you will identify high-value opportunities, build or support the development of automation solutions, and work closely with Finance teams to embed better, faster, and more controlled workflows. You will not have day-to-day operational responsibilities; instead, your mandate is to help Finance move toward a more autonomous, scalable, and data-driven operating model.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute an automation roadmap across Finance functions (FP&A, Treasury, FinOps) that delivers a measurable increase in AI-enabled workflows and high-impact “easy-win” solutions.
  • Redesign manual workflows into standardized, automated processes to reduce error rates and improve auditability scores through facilitated team alignment workshops.
  • Orchestrate Finance requirements for data pipelines and system integrations across NetSuite and data lakes, ensuring 100% alignment between technical infrastructure and functional needs.
  • Engineer and deploy automated prototypes (RPA, LLMs, or scripts) from specification to rollout, achieving defined targets for speed, cost efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Establish formal automation governance standards and testing protocols while increasing departmental tool adoption through structured coaching and repeatable frameworks.

Build & Experiment with Automation & AI for Finance Processes:

  • Identifying repetitive, manual finance tasks and experimenting with automation approaches to simplify or eliminate them.
  • Building lightweight scripts, workflow automations, or AI-assisted tools that reduce time-to-output for Finance teams.
  • Testing and iterating on GenAI solutions (e.g., AI assistants, summarization tools, workflow helpers) to improve daily work.
  • Translating business pain points into simple, working automation solutions — even if the first version is imperfect.
  • Scaling successful prototypes into reliable, documented tools that teams can adopt and use independently.

Requirements:

  • 7-12 years in finance transformation, automation engineering, FP&A, accounting operations, financial systems, or consulting roles.
  • Demonstrated delivery of end-to-end automation programs.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and FinOps, with the ability to challenge and redesign them.
  • Experience integrating or optimising NetSuite, data platforms, and planning/reporting systems is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with technical teams (Data Engineering, IT, Product) to operationalize automation.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently identify, size, and execute automation opportunities.
  • Executive-level communication: able to influence, align, and secure buy-in across senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical and inventive mindset with a bias for experimentation and rapid iteration.

Application Process:

  • Talent Attraction (TA) Screen (30-45mins)
  • Hiring Manager Interview (60mins)
  • Competency interview with live exercise and discussion (60mins)
  • Final call with CFO (30mins)

Benefits:

  • A job that matters in a dynamic Defence Technology and Earth Observation environment with a scale-up approach.
  • An independent role with a supportive and diverse work environment.
  • Occupational healthcare, occupational, and accident insurance.
  • A yearly benefit budget to spend as you wish (i.e. on sport, transport, bike benefit, wellness, lunch, etc.).
  • Phone subscription with iPhone of choice.
  • Relocation support (i.e. flight tickets, accommodation, relocation agency support).
  • Time for self-development, research, training, conferences, or certification schemes.
  • Inspiring and collaborating offices and silent workspaces enable you to focus.

Base salary range for this position is 30000-40000 PLN per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
