Manager, FP&A
About the Role
The Manager, FP&A will support the McKesson Technology organization by managing financials for department and business unit CIO direct expenses and allocations. The role will oversee close, forecasting, budgeting, cost optimization, and forecast accuracy for assigned areas. This position will analyze financial trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to senior leadership. It will also lead process improvements, automation, and enhancements to FP&A systems in partnership with McKesson Technology Finance and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage base and initiative spending for assigned departments and business unit CIO areas.
- Lead close, forecast, and budget processes.
- Review financial results, trends, and other inputs to improve forecast accuracy.
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual allocation processes in BPC.
- Manage quarterly allocation billing in partnership with Accounting.
- Develop templates for variance explanations used by the Technology Finance team.
- Drive data-enabled transformation, automation, and process improvements.
- Define requirements for FP&A tools, including BPC and SAC.
- Partner with IT to implement system changes and enhancements.
- Translate complex financial data into recommendations for senior leadership.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
- Seven or more years of combined experience in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, or corporate development and strategy.
- Extensive experience in Technology Finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial consolidation and reporting.
- Experience with change management.
- High proficiency with Microsoft products.
- Understanding and practical use of data strategy, data models, visualization, and efficiency tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented approach with the ability to meet and exceed expectations.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and develop recommendations for senior leadership.

Compensation and Work Arrangement
- Base pay range: $102,800–$171,300
- Annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
- Expected to work from the office one to two days per week.
