TradingHub# FinOps Lead## Job Description# FinOps Lead## About the RoleThe FinOps Lead at TradingHub is pivotal in managing the organization's cloud investments as it scales its cloud-based platform and services. This role is designed to establish a cloud financial management capability that fosters operational efficiency, cost transparency, and long-term sustainability. You will bridge the Engineering, Finance, and Product teams, driving visibility and accountability in cloud expenditures. Your efforts will enable informed decision-making regarding cloud consumption, which is essential for TradingHub's growth while ensuring financial discipline.The position focuses on optimizing cloud investment to maximize value, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, and ensuring that the company maintains a strategic approach to its cloud resources.## Key Responsibilities- Oversee cloud cost management and optimization across TradingHub's cloud environment.- Monitor cloud usage to identify waste and enhance efficiency.- Implement cost allocation, tagging standards, and chargeback models for improved spend visibility.- Manage and optimize cloud commercial commitments, including Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.- Collaborate with Engineering and Finance to forecast financial spending, assess investments, and promote FinOps best practices.- Establish governance, tools, and reporting to support cost-conscious decision-making.## Required Skills- Proven experience managing cloud expenditures in large-scale public cloud environments.- Strong understanding of AWS and cloud-native infrastructure principles.- Knowledge of cloud billing models, cost optimization techniques, and commitment-based discount programs.- Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps tools.- Familiarity with tagging, cost allocation, and chargeback frameworks.- Ability to analyze cloud consumption and financial data for optimization insights.- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence diverse audiences.## Benefits- Annual discretionary performance bonus (for permanent employees).- Hybrid working policy.- Office lunches twice a week.- Private medical insurance and dental cover.- Enhanced parental leave (up to 6 months fully paid maternity leave).- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.- Enhanced company pension plan.- 5 days of study leave for professional qualifications.- Salary sacrifice schemes.- Death in service coverage.## Useful Links- (Company Website)( (Careers)( (LinkedIn)( Why You Might Be InterestedThis position offers a unique opportunity to engage in the strategic management of cloud expenditures in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
