Our client, which has a portfolio of reputable sports and streetwear brands, is looking to appoint a Shipping Coordinator to their team.
We are seeking someone with previous experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations (typically 1-3 years). The ideal candidate should have knowledge of import/export documentation, INCOTERMS, and customs clearance processes, along with excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
You will need strong attention to detail to verify shipping documentation and ensure regulatory compliance, as well as problem-solving abilities to resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and clearance issues efficiently.
The role involves monitoring the PO schedule (ex-factory), following up with suppliers for shipment bookings, and notifying stakeholders of potential delays in advance.
Responsibilities include coordinating with suppliers, forwarders, and 3PL logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch, shipment, and delivery; confirming shipping schedules to meet cargo cut-off times; tracking shipments and providing timely updates to stakeholders; and reporting progress to the shipping manager and internal teams.
You will verify and approve import documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) to ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements, working with customs agents to resolve clearance issues and prevent delays.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring shipping costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities, maintaining accurate shipment records for audits and reporting, resolving shipping issues with forwarders, addressing documentation discrepancies promptly, and conducting regular analyses and reconciliations of shipments and invoices.
