A quality-led womenswear clothing brand is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser where you’ll play a key role in driving sales, allocating stock, and supporting the development of in-store and online promotions. Working closely with the Buying team, you’ll trade the range with a strong commercial focus, striving to maximize profit and minimize markdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update the category WSSI to track sales figures and stock levels, advising the Merchandiser on commercial actions.
- Assist in planning upcoming seasons, presenting lessons learned to senior stakeholders, and creating key building blocks for future success.
- Oversee the OTB for Occasionwear by managing sales, intake, stock movement, carry-over, and markdowns through the WSSI.
- Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules, negotiate repeat pricing, and identify in-season commercial repeat opportunities.
- Provide ongoing analysis to optimize sales performance, addressing risks, reforecasting categories, and maximizing business opportunities.
It is essential you have proficient Excel skills and be able to show the ability to analyze large quantities of numerical data. You should have experience managing and reforecasting WSSIs, demonstrating a strong analytical and commercial mindset. Prior experience at the Assistant Merchandiser level is highly desirable, along with exposure to online merchandising.
