FINN Partners is on the hunt for an Account Executive to join our growing UK travel PR and Representation practice. Ideally, you will have a minimum of one year of experience in PR or within journalism and an understanding of sales and marketing initiatives with an ability to quickly apply it to the travel industry. You will need experience of media relations and pitching, writing, and social media comms as well as a passion for the travel industry. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual ready to support the team in a fast-paced environment.

As Account Executive you will support the wider team and work with some of the best destinations and brands in the business. You will keep on top of the media, there’s a lot of reading for everyone here at FINN, papers, magazines, broadcast and digital/online, so an understanding of the changing media and trade landscape is needed, to ensure we continue to develop opportunities for our clients and create inspiring content. You will be monitoring and creating media lists, putting together activity reports, writing releases & engaging pitches, responding to media requests, clipping coverage, managing agendas and client call logistics, organising, and hosting events, selling in stories, and attending client meetings. Hosting media and keeping on top of journalistic needs and deadlines is integral to the role as well as arranging those all-important press trips. You’ll join brainstorms and develop ideas as a team; we are a collaborative bunch and want the opinions of everyone in the team.

On the marketing side, you will gain experience of working with an account manager to support on high profile marketing campaigns. You will need to have excellent writing skills and be capable in supporting the manager in the administration of appropriate sales / marketing activities for the clients. These plans will include assisting with event organisation, preparations for trade training, along with trade and consumer shows to ensure maximum destination awareness and exposure for our clients.

There is no typical day… generally, working hours are 9.00-5.00pm, Monday to Friday but sometimes there are times you will be out until late or up at the crack of dawn organising photo shoots or attending events – that is the nature of PR and Marketing. We offer hybrid working structure that offers a mix of WFH and WFO and our gorgeous new office next to Old Street Station is designed for hybrid brainstorms, collaborative working, meetings and get-togethers as a team.

What do you need to succeed?

  • General awareness of the travel and hospitality sector
  • Some work experience in public relations or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of agency/PR experience
  • Enthusiasm and desire to be involved in award-winning PR campaigns
  • Exudes passion, creativity and enthusiasm throughout each agency project and client interaction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of influencer landscape and opportunities

The approved salary range for this role is £31,000-£34,999 annual commensurate with experience.
