Sitech are the exclusive dealer for Trimble’s machine control systems and experts in deploying site positioning systems, construction site software and delivering first-class training and professional services. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Plant Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:
This is a field-based role, covering the east of Scotland. The Plant Engineer will deliver customer support through on-site machine control installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of machine control systems across various machine types, brands, and technology models on a national scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Primary resource for on-machine installation of SITECH/Trimble equipment across all OEMs, OEM Dealers, and Customers (Dozer, Excavator, Grader, Paver, Compactor with Earthworks systems).
- Service: Provide maintenance, support call-outs, troubleshooting, and support on SITECH/Trimble equipment.
- Measure & Calibration/Advisory/Consultation: Calibrate/re-calibrate SITECH/Trimble machine control equipment as part of installation, rental, or support.
- Training & Development: Provide operator training to end-users on system use/operation and train others.
- Operational Support: Support teams, stocks, vehicles, and provide improvement and training when requested.
- Results: Maintain a customer-centric approach to ensure high performance and first-time fix on time and to standard.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- College or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulics, Electronic, or similar engineering.
- Experience working in OEM, OEM Dealer site environment in an engineering/operations or field engineer role.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical issues on heavy equipment machines.
- Familiarity with construction site operations using heavy equipment machine control systems.
- IOSH, RAMS, Health & Safety awareness with an up-to-date CSCS card.
- Understanding of field installation, calibration, and service support processes and documentation.
