Finning is the world's largest Caterpillar dealer. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovative solutions. We are looking for a driven and ambitious graduate to join our team as a Graduate Finance Analyst within our Commercial Finance function.

The Graduate Finance Analyst role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial awareness and financial expertise while working closely with experienced Commercial Business Partners and operational leaders. You will gain hands‐on experience supporting performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and decision‐making, helping to drive business performance and achieve strategic objectives. Full support will be provided to pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support financial and commercial reporting, including performance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Assist in preparing and presenting monthly results, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Contribute to monthly performance reviews and reporting packs alongside senior stakeholders
  • Analyse business performance across customers, segments, and channels to support decision‐making
  • Support analysis of working capital, asset utilisation, inventory, and cost‐to‐serve
  • Assist with sales analysis and identifying opportunities for profitable growth
  • Contribute to risk identification and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support business case development, contract evaluations, and tender submissions
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including General Managers, Commercial Business Partners, and Finance teams
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Recent graduate (or due to graduate) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong interest in developing a career in commercial finance or business partnering
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of financial metrics such as profitability, cash flow, and KPIs
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in problem‐solving and data interpretation
  • Willingness to study towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
