We are looking to recruit a talented graduate with at least one degree in biochemistry or chemistry to join our team of diverse and experienced scientists-turned-legal professionals. Our team has active practices before the European Patent Office (EPO), the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO), the Unified Patent Court (UPC), the UK courts, and the German courts.

Our work includes:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications
  • Handling oppositions and post-grant proceedings before the EPO
  • Conducting freedom-to-operate analyses
  • Supporting litigation matters

We are a group of recognised experts with science and/or engineering backgrounds, many of whom hold advanced degrees in their respective fields. The role will involve preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the EPO and UKIPO, as well as assisting with EPO oppositions, including both offensive and defensive work.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to apply your scientific expertise to support clients working at the forefront of technological innovation across a wide range of industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s leading intellectual property law firms and to become part of our growing team in Finnegan’s London office.
