Job Purpose
Working as part of a team and reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that Finnebrogue continues to meet all quality and technical standards set nationally and by our partners. As a part of the technical team, you will ensure all products meet standards, ensure production tasks are carried out to specification/SOPs, collect samples of all production runs, ensure correct operation of metal detectors, check weight and Olympus systems, conduct audits and highlight any issues during shift. Full training on internal quality processes will be provided to the successful candidate.
What it takes
This is a trainee role, and as such experience is not essential for this role. Desirable criteria for this role are strong communication skills for the completion of checks and challenging any food quality risks, integrity and accountability as this role includes teamwork, however some of the duties are managed individually. As well as welcoming applications from candidates with quality or technical experience, we would also like to encourage applications from candidates who have recently graduated or are on track to graduate with a food related degree. This role is site based and our Quality Assurance team are based in the main production area. This team is part of the wider technical team allowing growth and continued development.
Hours of Work
Nightshift: 6pm to 6 am, 4 days a week. The rate of pay for this role is £16.20 with the rate of pay increasing through the sign off in training.
