Due to growth within our business, we are now recruiting a Commercial Manager for one of our customer accounts, to manage the account effectively with a high attention to customer service and deliver growth in line with the business ambitions.
Due to the growth ambition across various product categories, this role will provide an excellent opportunity for a tenacious, results driven individual.
This is a key role within the business, and you will be involved in commercial negotiations, category reviews, NPD submission & delivering agreed business plans and building relationships with key decision makers across categories internally & externally.
Duties/Responsibilities Primary contact for managing customer accounts in a responsive and professional manner.
Creating and maintaining strong relationships with the customer to drive the growth ambition of the business.
Responsible for forecasting of account sales and clear business planning on a short & long-term basis, including tracking opportunities and risks.
Clear understanding of the importance of forecast accuracy & implications within a FMCG business.
Work with internal teams to deliver profitable & sustainable business & implement a continuous improvement attitude to the management of the account.
Management of customer JBPs & clear business planning and strategy for your customer.
Preparation of sales reports and presenting to key internal stakeholders.
Tenacious & resilient attitude for sales & ability to identify and deliver profitable sales.
Ability to understand & interpret customer & EPOS data to effectively plan NPD & range recommendations.
Effective communicator both internally & externally.
Knowledge, skills and experience Essential Degree or 3rdLevel Qualification in a business-related subject.
Professional and passionate about food.
Account management experience within FMCG at head office level, dealing with the major grocery multiples.
Ability to understand retail & EPOS data and use this effectively to drive targeted growth for the business and customer.
Strong levels of commercial and business acumen and considered decision- making.
Effective negotiator who can think strategically to deliver sales & profit aspiration Experience in communicating with both internal and external business stakeholders to complete projects and business briefs.
Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment where you have built a strong understanding of this type of business.
Valid driving license and vehicle available for business use.
Ability to travel when required.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, specifically Excel.
Desirable Experience working with Tesco in a similar role for 2-3 years.
Proficient in Tesco specific systems.

Hours of work Monday Friday 37.5 hours per week.
The core times are 10am until 4pm daily.
