The role entails meeting and greeting guests, providing detailed information on menus, and multi-tasking various restaurant and bar duties. If you are attentive to detail, have great communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team, then we'd like to meet you!
Responsibilities- Meet and greet guests and escort them to their tables
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Prepare tables by setting up silverware and glasses
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Assess customer preferences and make drinks recommendations
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drinks orders
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
- Serve food and drink orders
- Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
- Deliver and collect bill payments
- Attend start of shift team meeting to review daily changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
- Follow all relevant health department regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
- Attentiveness and patience for customers
- Vibrant and enthusiastic
- Excellent presentation skills
- At least 1 year of experience in the food and beverage department, preferably in a hotel/resort environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Team spirit
- Valid Driver's License
Accommodation: Live-in is a possibility to relocate according to availability
