This trainee role is ideal for a paraplanner who is ambitious to progress into a Financial Advisor position. You will join a supportive environment where you’ll shadow senior advisors, attend client meetings, and receive structured training to help you transition into an experienced advisor. With full mentoring and a clear pathway into advice, this role is perfect for someone who wants to develop into a client-facing advisor without the pressure of generating business.

The Business

The business is a well-established financial advisory practice with offices across the South East. They are directly authorised and provide whole-of-market advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection, and estate planning. With a strong back-office team and modern systems, they provide their staff with excellent support. The business has a reputation for developing staff internally, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to grow into an advisory role.

The Role

You’ll start by working closely with advisors and paraplanners, supporting client cases and preparing research. A typical day might include drafting reports, carrying out fact finds, and sitting in on client meetings with senior advisors. Over time, you’ll transition to managing your own clients, with the guidance and mentorship of experienced advisors. You’ll be given the opportunity to attend training, shadow live meetings, and steadily take on responsibility until you are comfortable running cases yourself.
