Finlay Jude Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for a Data Analyst to join their leak detection and logging team based in the Hampshire area.
This role is fully office based, and due to the depo location - you must be a car owner / driver - it is not accessible on public transport.
Working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm (40 hours per week)
The main purpose of the role is to review all data received from the underground logging equipment to detect any possible leaks or issues in the water network, to enable the field teams to locate and fix any issues.
**Trainee Analysts would be considered - the only requirement is strong computer / Excel skills**

Data Analyst responsibilities
- To review all data received from the logging equipment and devices which are deployed in the field.
- Issue work packs for Logging Technicians and Supervisors
- Adhere to all required deadlines and timeframes for suspected leak investigation procedures
- Produce follow up pack including all relevant information to support investigation
- Maintain and update trackers and the inhouse system
- Liaise with colleagues, including fellow Analysts to review targeting for Noise Logging
- Work closely with the Logging Supervisor for the area to ensure that work completion reports are issued in a timely manner
- Liaise with the Technicians to support if needed and provide updates
- Attend meetings as required
- Attend and take part in training sessions as required.
- Work closely with Administrators for the area
- To raise any areas of concerns/improvement suggestions with the Manager
Data Analyst requirements
- Experience of working in an office environment (ideally)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (especially Microsoft Excel).
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work alone and as part of the team to achieve targets is essential.
