Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering business in the Whitworth area.

Our client is seeking a professional, organised, and personable HR Administrator to provide management and staff support in HR matters and organise all HR related administration, maintaining all key dates in employee contracts.

This will initially be a temporary position with a view to becoming permanent after 12 weeks following a successful probation period.

Package and benefits in the role of HR Administrator

  • 37 hours p/w Monday – Friday (8.30am – 5pm Mon – Thurs and 8.30am – 2pm on Friday)
  • Paid overtime
  • Onsite parking

HR Administrator role and duties

  • Assist HR Manager with various Admin and HR related tasks, such as contracts of employment/ job descriptions / offer letters
  • Assist with notes on Grievances or Disciplinaries
  • Recruitment and induction packs
  • Updating and maintaining personal data
  • Keeping HR files up to date including holidays and absences
  • Liaising with employees/managers for basic queries
  • General HR (forms/notices etc)
  • Produce reports, spreadsheets and documents using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Assist the service team with documentation and scheduling
  • Occasional holiday cover as needed
  • Maintain company vehicle records – arrange services and repairs as required.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by management

Required skills and experience for the HR Administrator role

  • Previous administration experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Confident communicating with colleagues across different departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in HR administration is desirable but not essential
