FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Field Technician to strengthen their team. This role is based in the Guildford, Farnham and Aldershot area. This role is a temporary position available until the end of November, with potential to be extended.

Field Technician role:
Field-based role supporting leakage reporting and non-household water consumption monitoring for a major UK water provider. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and managing flow data loggers on commercial water meters to ensure accurate data capture for analysis, reporting, and customer outcomes. Full training provided; applicants from outside the water industry are welcome.
Field Technician responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and maintain flow data loggers on commercial water meters
- Collect, validate, and upload flow data using approved systems
- Analyse flow profiles to identify abnormal consumption and potential leakage
- Complete accurate site records, asset updates, and job documentation
- Work safely and professionally across a range of customer sites
Field Technician requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physically fit as the role will involve climbing into chambers
- Confident using handheld devices and laptops
- Full UK driving licence as works vehicle will be provided
Desirable:
- Experience with flow data logging equipment or commercial water meters
- Understanding of commercial water usage and consumption patterns
- Experience in water efficiency, leakage, or metering services
- EUSR Water Hygiene or similar industry certification
- NRSWA accreditation
