We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Water Sampling Operative to join their expanding two-person sampling team. You will be responsible for leading wastewater sampling activities across rivers, commercial premises, wastewater treatment works and wider wastewater networks within the client’s catchment. This is a full-time role with flexibility required around working hours.

Location – Greater Manchester

Responsibilities

  • Leading a two-person team to collect wastewater samples from multiple locations
  • Transporting samples to the laboratory using refrigerated vehicles
  • Working safely around confined spaces, watercourses and highways
  • Providing excellent customer service when visiting commercial premises and client sites
  • Completing paperwork accurately and maintaining precise records
  • Planning daily routes and working to deadlines
  • Manual handling of manhole covers and other heavy equipment
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility for early starts, late finishes and occasional changes to working hours
