This is a key role within a leading infrastructure provider delivering major Water and Wastewater Capital Projects across the UK. You will lead complex programmes that protect future water supply, improve environmental performance and support long-term resilience.
What you will be doing:
- Lead delivery of complex or concurrent water/wastewater capital projects
- Manage multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, planning, SHEQ and commercial
- Apply strong governance, programme controls, cost management and risk mitigation
- Act as senior escalation point for technical and contractual issues
- Oversee integrated planning, resource alignment and critical path progress
- Full accountability for forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting
- Manage supply chain performance, variations, early warnings and value engineering
- Champion HSE leadership and safe working practices
- Build capability through coaching and structured team development
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and clear communication
What you MUST bring:
- Proven experience delivering water or wastewater projects (capital delivery, networks, treatment, infrastructure)
- Strong leadership of cross-functional teams
- Contract/commercial management experience (NEC/JCT)
- Solid financial and programme management capability
- Effective risk identification and mitigation
- Excellent stakeholder and client management
- Ability to develop and guide project delivery teams
- Strong understanding of HSE requirements
- Proficiency with Primavera or MS Project
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- CSCS, SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
