Overview
We are supporting a major contractor within the water and wastewater sector in the recruitment of an experienced Project Manager to deliver network and civils projects across Hampshire. This role suits a strong operational leader with experience in utilities, water networks, reinstatement or civils delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead day-to-day delivery of water and wastewater network schemes, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations.
- Programme Management: Plan, sequence and manage multiple live projects, driving productivity and meeting milestones.
- Commercial Control: Manage budgets, variations, forecasting and subcontractor performance under NEC frameworks.
- HSEQ Leadership: Maintain high safety standards, environmental compliance and quality assurance across all works.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with the client, local authorities, residents and internal teams to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction.
- Risk Management: Identify risks early, implement mitigation plans and escalate issues where required.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support supervisors, operatives and subcontractors to achieve operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements
- Water/Utilities experience: Background in water networks, wastewater, utilities, civils or reinstatement.
- H&S qualifications: SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor or equivalent.
- Commercial awareness: Understanding of NEC contracts, cost control and subcontractor management.
- Technical understanding: Knowledge of water mains, drainage, repairs, civils or network operations.
- Strong communication: Confident dealing with clients, residents and internal teams.
- Full UK Driving Licence: Regional travel across Hampshire required.
