Job Description FJA are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. We are looking for an experienced Miller/Turner to join a skilled production team, manufacturing precision-machined components to exacting standards. \n Why apply? \n On-site Parking \n Full-Time Permanent Position \n Monday to Friday Day Shift \n 39 Hours per Week \n Opportunity to work within a skilled engineering environment \n The Miller/Turner Role: \n Set up and operate milling and turning machines to manufacture precision components \n Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work orders \n Work to minimum tolerances of 15 microns \n Machine predominantly 300 series stainless steel, along with a variety of other materials \n Use measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers to inspect finished parts \n Carry out routine maintenance of machinery and tooling \n Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient production processes \n Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment \n Programme basic tool paths as required \n Miller/Turner Requirements: \n Proven experience as a Miller/Turner or in a similar machining role \n Experience operating milling and turning machines with Prototrak S Series and XYZ S Series controls \n Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications \n Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment \n Familiarity with tooling techniques and precision machining practices \n Ability to programme basic tool paths \n Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills \n Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality \n Ability to work independently with minimal supervision \n Desirable Skills: \n Experience using Fanuc Controls \n If you are looking for a fantastic Miller/Turner opportunity and want to work for a well-established engineering company that values quality and precision, then click on the apply now button. \n Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are not always able to reply to all applications.
