FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading national service provider within the utilities sector for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join and strengthen their construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects with a contractor known for quality, safety, and long-term career development.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the applicant will be responsible for all mechanical aspects of the project. The role involves coordinating and safely managing all operational activities, ensuring that HSQE, programme, and budget requirements are fully met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all works are carried out with due consideration for the local community and the travelling public.
  • Manage, supervise, and mentor the Mechanical site team as required.
  • Promote and maintain cost‑conscious management through the efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare, review, and regularly update realistic project programmes.
  • Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, communicated, and kept up to date.
  • Ensure all as‑constructed records are completed and provided to the CDMC in a timely manner for inclusion in the Health and Safety File upon project completion.
  • Attend all training required for site management duties, including Appointed Person, Temporary Works, and other relevant training.

About The Candidate

  • Recognised Mechanical Engineering or Site Management qualification.
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental qualification (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate).
  • CSCS Site Manager card (minimum requirement).
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Proven experience within the Water and Waste Water Treatment industry.
