Finlay Jude Associates are proud to be supporting our client as they strengthen their Planning team with a talented Planner based in Dukinfield (Greater Manchester), with hybrid working available. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high‑performing project planning team where you’ll work closely with Senior Planners and the Planning Manager. You’ll play a key role in driving project performance, challenging delays, and ensuring robust, efficient planning across the full project lifecycle. With ongoing coaching and development, this role offers a clear pathway to becoming a planning expert.

Planner Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed, fully integrated project plans across the entire project lifecycle
- Ensure plans accurately reflect full project scope, with appropriate resource loading
- Implement Last Planner techniques to support collaborative planning
- Identify risks, opportunities, and changes to the critical path, advising the delivery team accordingly
- Review and challenge supply chain programmes, ensuring alignment with the master project plan
- Produce programmes in line with MWH Treatment planning procedures, including:
- Full project and activity coding
- Baseline creation and management
- Programme narrative for client submissions
- Regular schedule quality and integrity checks
Planner Requirements
- Experience working on relevant projects within the Water Industry
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Understanding of collaborative planning processes
- Ability to interpret drawings and provide effective planning support
- Experience supporting claims programme development and implementing contractual changes
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Adaptable, curious, and supportive—keen to learn and contribute to a high‑performing team
- A relevant technical degree is desirable but not essential
