Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering business in the Whitworth area. Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to assist the Service Engineers during the installation, testing, and servicing of machinery on site. You will also provide assistance to shop floor and office staff as required. This will initially be a temporary position with a view to becoming permanent, following a successful probation period.
Package and benefits:
- Salary £14 - £16 per hour DOE (with potential to rise depending on progress)
- 37 hours p/w Monday-Friday (7.30am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-12pm on Friday)

- You must have a full UK Driving licence

Role and duties:
- To provide assistance to all employees including the shop floor and offices as requested by management.
- To assist the service and commissioning engineers during the installation and testing of machinery on site.
- To use industrial hand tools.
- Keep records of site visits and generate basic reports if required.
- To carry out various deliveries and collections using the company vehicles.
- To assist with customer trials in our innovation centre and cleaning/jet washing after etc.
- Cleaning of company vehicles as and when available.
- General site maintenance - painting, building work etc.
- To ensure all health and safety systems are adhered to and any issued PPE is worn as and when required.
- To maintain clean, tidy and safe working areas always across sites.
- Any other duties as requested by management.
Please note: this role is mainly site based and can mean staying away from home (fully expensed). You must have a full driving licence and UK Passport.

- Strong communication skills
