Finlay Jude Associates are working closely with a Tier 1 Contractor in the Wastewater Industry. Our client is looking to strengthen their Construction team with an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex wastewater and water recycling schemes across the region. This is an opportunity to work on high-value AMP7/AMP8 infrastructure projects that play a critical role in improving environmental compliance.
Working within a multidisciplinary MEICA delivery team, you will be involved in the commissioning and optimisation of cutting-edge treatment technologies, control systems, telemetry solutions, and process automation equipment across a variety of clean water and wastewater sites. Projects will range from upgrades to existing treatment works through to full turnkey installations incorporating advanced PLC/SCADA systems, instrumentation, and process control technologies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Commissioning Engineers R&Rs and delivering schemes in a safe compliant manner.
- Reviewing and monitoring of MEICA related Project risks.
- Attending commissioning systems inductions and toolbox talks.
- Liaising with the Design team to ensure plant commissioning requirements are incorporated at the design stage and included in the appropriate scope of works.
- Reviewing and developing Compliance & Commissioning Plans in conjunction with design intent.
- Assisting in the development of the initial Commissioning Programme.
- Compiling commissioning documentation and deliverables.
- Providing input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation.
- Liaising with sub-contractors regarding commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
- Assisting O&M Coordinators in the compilation and review of O&M Manuals.
- Distributing Commissioning Log / Daily Diaries and any other information from Engineers.
Requirements:
- Proven Electrical commissioning experience.
- Extensive site experience of water and/or water recycling operations.
- Practical knowledge of water and/or water recycling processes.
- A valid clean UK driving license.
