FJA is working with a large water utilities company that is recruiting for experienced Leakage Technicians responsible for day-to-day leak detection activities. Leakage Technicians must be proficient in using leakage detection equipment, including a correlator, pipe tracer, ground microphone, and listening stick. Experience with Step Testing, Trunk Mains, Validation, and Seepage is desirable but not essential. Excellent rates of pay!
Main responsibilities include:
- Undertaking survey work and project activities related to leak detection.
- Assisting repair gangs by providing leak detection support.
- Conducting detailed surveys to identify water leakage types and locations on large diameter pipes.
- Completing all paperwork accurately, including timesheets, survey forms, and leak details.
- Performing Step Tests to identify high leakage zones within a water distribution network, typically at night to minimize disruption.
Preferred but not essential certifications include:
- EUSR Water Hygiene Training
- Unit 2 Street Works
Candidates must hold a full and valid driving license, as driving is required for the role.
