FJA are recruiting on behalf of our client, a UK based waste management specialist. They are currently looking for a HGV Jet Vac Operator based in the Telford area. We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Jet Vac Operators to join their growing team. This role involves operating jet vacuum tankers for the maintenance, cleaning, and unblocking of drainage systems, sewers, and interceptors. The ideal candidate will hold a valid HGV licence and have experience with high-pressure water jetting and vacuum systems.

HGV Jet Vac Operator role:

  • You will be responsible for driving and operating an HGV Class 2 Combi Unit
  • Carry out high-pressure water jetting to clear blockages in sewers, pipes, and culverts
  • Complete all required paperwork, including job sheets, risk assessments, and digital logs
  • Adhere to company health and safety policies, including use of PPE and safe working practices
  • You will be working for a variety of customers including commercial, domestic, Highways, Airport and water boards, maintaining the drainage network
  • Works will include jetting, wet well cleaning and confined space work
  • Work independently or as part of a team on both planned and reactive works
  • Working 48 hours per week plus overtime

Required skills and experience:

  • Full UK HGV Class 2 License
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Previous experience of driving and operating combi units is essential
  • Willingness to undertake physical work associated with maintaining the drainage network
  • Street works, HPWJ (High-Pressure Water Jetting) and High Risk Entry Confined Spaces are desirable
  • Understanding of drainage systems and related safety procedures
