FJA are working with a large water utilities company who are recruiting for experienced Leakage Technicians who will be responsible for day-to-day leak detection activities.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage leakage detection equipment including Correlator, Pipe Tracer, Ground Microphone and Listening Stick.
- Perform leak detection surveys and detailed surveys to identify type and location of water leakage on large diameter pipes.
- Assist repair gangs by providing leak detection.
- Undertake survey work/project work not normally associated with day-to-day leak detection.
- Carry out step testing, performed at night to minimize disruption, to identify high leakage within the distribution network.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets, survey forms and leak details.
Qualifications:
- Proficient use of leakage detection equipment.
- Experience within Step Testing, Trunk Mains, Validation and Seepage desirable but not essential.
- Possession of EUSR Water Hygiene Training and Unit 2 Street Works certificates advantageous but not essential.
- Full and valid driving licence, with a clean driving record.
Excellent rates of pay.
