Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading company who specialise in providing solutions across the water and wastewater industry. Due to growth, this successful company is now looking for an experienced Design and Project Engineer to join the team. The role will be based in the Rossendale area. Operating across various wastewater sectors, they have developed an excellent client base with a strong and recognised brand. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an environment that is both challenging and rewarding.

The Design and Project Engineer Job:
- Use 3D CAD software programmes to create detailed designs and assemblies (Inventor and Solidworks)
- Producing high quality, detailed general arrangements, technical details and manufacturing drawings from 3D assemblies
- Project manage the design and procure items for the system
- Produce detailed project programmes (Microsoft Project)
- Reporting to the Lead Design Engineer
- Client liaison and project management, including face-to-face meetings
- Working alongside the Project, Engineering and Operation teams to eliminate or reduce risk during the design stages
- Liaise with other team members in a multi-disciplinary environment to achieve design solutions to the client’s specification
- Carry out site visits to high-risk environments, including construction and live operational sites
- Liaise with site installation teams including high-risk, live work areas
- Survey building sites to gather information to progress designs
- Organising final production of the as-built models, drawings and technical data sheets
The Successful Design and Project Engineer Will Have:
- Ideally looking for a person with experience in the water industry with a mechanical or design background
- Competent in the use of Solid Works or Inventor software
- Well organised
- Have a knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to create and read technical drawings
- Ideally have appropriate experience and a technical understanding of M&E requirements within the water industry, but not essential
