FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure service provider within the Water and Wastewater sector for an experienced Civil Project Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing capital delivery team responsible for delivering key projects across the Anglian Water framework.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of multiple civil and MEICA projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with client requirements and industry regulations. This role is based in Colchester with regular travel across East Anglia and offers a mixture of office and site-based working.

Responsibilities of the Civil Project Engineer:

  • Deliver civil and MEICA projects in line with programme, budget, specification and client requirements
  • Support the Project Delivery Manager with the successful delivery of multiple capital projects
  • Monitor project progress and identify risks impacting cost, quality or programme
  • Capture and record asset changes including decommissioning, alterations and new assets within corporate systems
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, contractors and operational teams throughout project delivery
  • Attend site visits and oversee works to ensure quality and compliance standards are achieved
  • Support project planning, reporting and documentation processes
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency across projects
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of clean water and wastewater treatment projects across the Anglian Water network

Required Skills and Experience of the Civil Project Engineer:

  • Engineering qualification (NVQ, BTEC, HNC/HND or Degree level)
  • Previous experience within an engineering, utilities, infrastructure or construction environment
  • Knowledge of civil engineering and project delivery principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel regularly across East Anglia
  • Experience delivering water, wastewater or utilities projects
  • Knowledge of MEICA project delivery
