Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading company who specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of aeration systems for the wastewater treatment sector for an experienced CAD Designer.
Location: Rossendale
Benefits:
- 37.5 hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm

CAD Designer role:
- Reporting to the Lead Design Engineer
- Developing general arrangement and manufacturing drawings for aeration pipework systems
- Supervise the design process and procure system components
- Working alongside the Project, Engineering and Operation teams to eliminate or reduce risk during the design stages
- Create high-quality detailed technical drawings, plans and general arrangements
- Developing and overseeing 3D models
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop design solutions that meet client specifications
- Collaborate with clients and conduct occasional site visits and surveys to gather information for advancing designs
- Coordinating the finalization of as-built models and drawings
- Utilise various CAD software programs, including Autodesk and SolidWorks, to develop both 2D and 3D designs
CAD Designer requirements:
- Ideally, we are seeking candidates with experience in the water industry, particularly those with a mechanical or structural engineering background
- Proficiency in using CAD software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor is essential
- Understanding of engineering principles with the ability to interpret and create technical drawings
- Preferably, candidates will have relevant experience and technical understanding of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) requirements within the water industry
