My client, a design and manufacturing specialist working within the wastewater industry, is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their busy team. The Business Development Manager will have a proven track record in implementing efficiencies and good working practices, along with experience in managing change and driving improvements through a long-term workforce.

This role will suit an individual with experience within a manufacturing/fabrications environment who has operated as a Production Manager, Works Manager, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager or Factory Manager. The main focus of the role is to deliver cost savings and improve productivity by implementing effective processes and procedures.

The Job

  • Schedule and co-ordinate all aspects of production operations to ensure that output and quality & delivery targets are achieved.
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers to ensure the cost-effective provision of services to the factory.
  • Develop and implement short and long term plans to ensure that the factory has the necessary resources to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure that all factory staff are effectively motivated, trained and developed.
  • Develop effective working relationships with all employees to ensure the maintenance of harmonious employee relations within the factory.
  • Monitor and control the factory budget to ensure that all financial and business objectives are met.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be required from time to time.
