FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for a Freelance Estimator to strengthen their team. This role is based in the Falmer area and is primarily hybrid, with 80-90% working from home and occasional travel to the site.

Responsibilities:
- Provide estimating support for our contract in Southern Water.
- Provide estimating support for bids and contracts, ensuring accurate pricing, effective risk management, and strong governance.
- Assist and advise the Senior Management Team on commercial risks and influences related to bids.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to deliver accurate and timely estimates and cost data.
- Ensure supplier and subcontractor terms align with client requirements wherever possible and assess the impact of any deviations.
- Prioritise workload and support the team to deliver timely results that meet business requirements.
- Engage and influence key stakeholders, including customers and operational colleagues, on a day-to-day basis.
- Develop and implement process improvements based on identified needs to enhance performance.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Excel
- Over 3 years’ experience in water and wastewater
- Degree in Construction or Quantity Surveying
