We are recruiting Trainee Field Technicians to join a leading water utilities company, supporting essential leak detection work across the underground water network. No previous experience is needed - just a full UK driving licence and a willingness to work outdoors.

Location: Sussex

Working Hours: Days and Nights roles available - 40 hours per week.

Training Provided:

You will gain accredited qualifications including:

  • EUSR Water Hygiene Training
  • Unit 2 Street Works (NRSWA)

The Role:

This is a practical, field-based role working outdoors at night, supporting leak detection activities across the water network.

Your daily duties will include:

  • Assisting with detailed surveys to identify the type and location of water leaks
  • Supporting repair teams by providing accurate leak detection information
  • Carrying out project and survey work across the network
  • Uploading data to a laptop and completing all required paperwork
  • Driving between sites and completing manual tasks (lifting, bending, stretching)
  • Following strict health & safety procedures

You will be trained to use specialist equipment to detect leakage noise and help pinpoint leak locations across the underground network.
