Responsibilities

  • Follow all instructions, guidance and direction provided by the Installation Supervisor.
  • Assist with the installation and assembly of equipment and systems in accordance with company standards and project specifications.
  • Accurately use a tape measure to mark out dimensions and locations as required.
  • Identify, select and safely use the correct tools and equipment for each task.
  • Work in a variety of environments and weather conditions, including wastewater treatment facilities, industrial effluent plants and other industrial sites.
  • Report any health, safety, environmental or quality non-compliances involving clients, contractors or site activities to the Installation Supervisor.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within work areas, including inside and outside tanks, vessels and confined workspaces.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and site materials.
  • Check deliveries against requirements and promptly report any discrepancies, shortages or damaged items to the Installation Supervisor.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures and policies at all times.
  • Comply with all Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), Site Rules, Lift Plans and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with site-specific PPE requirements.
  • Maintain and promote mechanical installation standards and workmanship at all times.
  • Undertake installation work throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, including staying away from home for extended periods when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working on construction, industrial or mechanical installation sites.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and mark dimensions.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools and their safe use.
  • Ability to work safely in industrial environments, including wastewater and effluent treatment facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and stay away from home throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
