We are looking for a Proposals Engineer based in Rickmansworth. As a Proposals Engineer, you'll lead teams to create solutions and proposals for water, sewage, and bioresources projects to secure contracts.

Proposals Engineer role:
Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to effectively identify project solutions and secure successful contract agreements.
- Manage client and stakeholder expectations on proposal time, cost, and quality.
- Attend sites and client offices as needed for project development.
Develop Solutions/Tenders/Proposals:
- Lead teams to submit competitive tenders that meet client needs.
- Ensure solutions cover cost, design, planning, sustainability, construction, procurement, and operations.
- Ensure tenders/proposals meet governance and quality standards, and build confidence in scope, cost, schedule, and risk, in line with business strategy.
- Coordinate with legal, technical, and commercial teams to define project scope, establish risk, and ensure timely contract execution.
Support Department development and administration:
- Work with the Pre-Construction Manager to plan and gather resources for proposal development.
- Line management duties, ensuring team progression, development and wellbeing.
- Be responsible for proposals to be delivered within the agreed timescales and tender budget.
Proposals Engineer requirements:
Essential:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Process) or equivalent, or Project Management qualifications.
- Experience managing projects under NEC4 contracts in the UK water industry, leading design and/or delivery of water, wastewater, or bioresources projects with expertise in design, material selection, buildability, and optioneering.
- Knowledge of processes, equipment, and services used in the water industry.
Desirable:
- Membership of a professional institution.
- Experience in tendering or managing £10M+ water industry projects, project batches, or design-only projects.
- Full UK driving license.
