FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the water and wastewater industry for an experienced Site Manager to strengthen their construction delivery team.
Location: Cricklewood (Site based role)

Site Manager Role
Reporting directly to the Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing site teams to safely deliver construction activities across water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate all operational site activities to ensure health, safety, quality, environmental, programme and budget requirements are achieved.
Site Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all site activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved documentation.
- Ensure all works are undertaken with due consideration for the local community and the travelling public.
- Manage, supervise and mentor site teams and subcontractors, promoting a positive safety and performance culture.
- Promote cost conscious management through efficient use of labour, plant and materials.
- Prepare, review and regularly update realistic construction programmes.
- Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed to the workforce and kept up to date.
- Ensure temporary works, lifting operations and other high risk activities are properly planned, authorised and controlled.
- Provide accurate site reporting on progress, risks, issues and performance.
- Ensure all “as constructed” records and documentation are completed and provided in a timely manner for inclusion within the Health & Safety File at project completion.
- Attend and maintain all training associated with the role, including Temporary Works Coordinator, Appointed Person and other site management duties as required.
- Uphold quality, safety and environmental standards at all times.
Site Manager Requirements
Essential
- Recognised Civil Engineering or Site Management qualifications.
- IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
- CSCS Site Manager card (minimum requirement).
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Proven experience working within the water and wastewater treatment industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Solid working knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
Desirable
- Experience delivering large scale water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Temporary Works Coordinator or Appointed Person certification.
