Project Coordinator role:
As a key member of the Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) team, the Wastewater Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our strategic objectives by delivering high-quality outcomes for clients through excellent customer service and the effective coordination of complex operational activities. This role is well suited to individuals either beginning their career or seeking the next step in their professional development with RPS. The role requires a flexible approach to work, including availability for weekends, evenings, overtime, and travel to various locations as needed. The position is predominantly outdoors, so you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate personnel, projects, clients, and on-site resources and equipment
- Provide technical support to field-based teams
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
- Confirm that all field teams are issued with appropriate RAMS for each project
- Plan and manage the weekly deployment and schedules of field-based staff
- Support the delivery and documentation of toolbox talks and team briefings
- Attend sites to carry out Site-Based Workplace Inspections
- Ensure field staff are suitably equipped and supported to work safely
- Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information to meet programme requirements
- Proactively identify project risks and opportunities
- Track and report on project progress
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Carry out tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager
- Support the completion of QA checks and assurance activities
- Prepare and review RAMS documentation
Qualifications:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Demonstrate experience in a wastewater-related role, such as CCTV surveying, asset inspection, or flow monitoring
- Possess strong IT skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Be highly organised, efficient, and capable of effective problem-solving
- Show a flexible and dependable approach to work
- Work accurately and efficiently under time pressures
- Be approachable with strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate professionally at all levels
- Use initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision
