FJA are currently recruiting for an experienced Careers Advisor on behalf of our client based in the Greater Manchester area. This is a busy and varied role where you will nurture talent through T-levels, apprenticeships, work placements and graduate schemes. You will play a key role in sourcing candidates in the early stages of their career, offering career building opportunities and guidance.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in recruitment, ideally with a focus on early careers and facilitating assessment centres. Strong communication skills along with a real passion for recruitment are essentials for this role.

- Creating effective recruitment strategies for early careers programmes, proactively sourcing candidates through various channels, including university career fairs, online job boards, social media, and partnerships with academic institutions.
- Manage the Graduate and Apprenticeship Programmes including acting as a key point of contact and developing strong relationships with apprentices, graduates, programme leads and mentors to ensure a positive experience throughout the process.
- Establish individual training plans for all early careers’ roles, defining a clear career development specific to the individual.
- Work with academic establishments to promote early careers in Construction.
- Manage further education programmes - provide guidance to the business and employees and monitor progress, including qualifications and other professional memberships.
- Work with other members of the training team to plan, organise, record all training against the annual training plan, assisting with the review and development of internal training procedure, guidance, forms and admin systems and assist in the communication of these.
- Maintain recruitment data and metrics regarding early careers roles within the business and tracking programme success and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in a similar role with a passion for mentoring and supporting young professionals.
- A good understanding of early careers offerings eg T-levels, apprenticeship frameworks and graduate rotation schemes.
- Experience working with educational institutions or managing external partnerships would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation / delivery skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines.
