Job Description FJA are currently recruiting for an experienced Streetworks Coordinator on behalf our client in the Greater Manchester area.

Responsible for the raising and closing of all notices required to work on site for all Multi Utility Projects.

Working closely with the Delivery Manager, Project Managers and Supervisors ensuring delivery and achievement of outcomes in accordance with the requirements, standards and targets set out by the client.

You will work collaboratively with the client, internal staff, operatives, sub-contractors, and other professionals to support this process.

Streetworks Coordinator responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing detailed and accurate Gang work pack.
  • Responsible for ensuring permits are live in line with the programme, extended where required and closed out when work is complete.
  • Provide an excellent customer service ensuring all customers are always kept fully up to date, warning them of potential issues/delays in a timely manner.
  • Deal with enquires and complaints immediately, updating all parties involved as and when required.
  • Planning and co-ordination of all aspects on each scheme
  • Responsibility of all noticing through Symology and Section 50, ensuring coordination with planning
  • Regularly updating permits.
  • Identifying issues and works loads with Delivery Manager to ensure adequate number of teams to fulfil our clients demands and meet their expectations.
  • Ensuring all FPNs (fixed penalty notices) are investigated
  • Ensure we always work in an efficient manner and always look at way we can improve.
  • Constantly supply a quality service and always aim to exceed expectation.
  • Management of all paperwork and submitting completions on time without delay and to a quality standard.
  • Create all work packs and hand over files to company standards.
  • Planning and co-ordination of all opening notices and streetworks section 50 applications.
  • Monitoring and tracking of live notices, opening/closing notices, and constant liaison with the Project Managers to avoid any overruns and potential FPN charges.
  • Manage defects and co-ordinate the prompt close out with the Project Managers assistance.

Skills and Knowledge required for the Streetworks Coordinator role

  • Experience and knowledge working within the utility industry
  • Experience working in an Administrative/Planning/Co-ordinators Role
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products / internet and email
  • Leadership, planning and organisational qualities
  • Ability to compare actual works with contract drawings

  • Problem solver – can apply a range of analytical techniques to understand complex information issues.
