We’re now looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and support our automated manufacturing operations. You’ll also take part in a tailored four-day induction from day one to help you settle in and succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintaining and improving automated production and packaging machinery
- Fault finding and breakdown response on mechanical and electrical systems
- Supporting reactive and planned maintenance activity
- Developing and carrying out PPM schedules (roughly 60% reactive / 40% PPM)
- Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering projects
- Supporting machinery installation and commissioning
- Producing and updating Safe Working Procedures
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices/Technical Operators
- Working collaboratively with Production, QA, and wider site teams
Shift Pattern (4-Day Week – No Weekends)
- Week 1: Mon–Thu, 2pm–12am
- Week 2: Tue–Fri, 6am–4pm
- Week 3: Mon–Thu, 5am–3pm
- Week 4: Tue–Fri, 6am–4pm
Every other week = 4 full days off.
What You’ll Need
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- ONC in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing
- Good knowledge of pneumatics & hydraulics
- Practical engineering skills (turning, milling, grinding, welding – MIG/TIG/MMA/aluminium)
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong problem-solver with clear communication
- Able to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Good numeracy, literacy and basic project management awareness
- Team player with a proactive, hands-on approach
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to automated lines, conveyors or packaging machinery
- PLC familiarity (Siemens/Allen Bradley) beneficial
