The Role: We’re looking for a SENCO to lead and champion inclusive practice across the nursery. You’ll be:
- Hands‑on with children
- Supporting and coaching your team

You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading SEND provision across the nursery
- Supporting children with additional needs to thrive
- Coaching practitioners on inclusive practice
- Building strong relationships with families
- Working with external professionals (health visitors, local authority, specialists)
- Managing support plans, observations, and next steps
- Keeping documentation accurate and compliant

The Perfect Candidate Qualifications and experience:
- Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
- SENCO qualification (desired or willing to undertake training)
- Strong understanding of EYFS & SEND & Local Authority
- Good organisational skills and time management

What Your Day Might Look Like:
- 7:50am – Arrive, coffee, team catch‑up
- 8:30am – Support children and check in on key needs
- 9:30am – Observe, assess, guide staff
- 10:30am – Parent meeting
- 11:30am – Update plans and records
- 12:00pm – Lunch
- 12:30pm – Liaise with professionals / referrals
- 1:30pm – Support practice in rooms
- 3:00pm – Review progress and next steps and IEPs
- 4:30pm – Team check‑in
- 6:00pm – Head home!
