Kitchen Assistant

Location: Keynsham/Bristol
Role 1- Hours: 7.30am to 3.30pm (35 hours over 5 days)

Role 2- Hours 11am to 6pm (32.5 hours over 5 days)
Salary: £12.80 per hour

THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a reliable, organised Kitchen Assistant Assistant to support our nursery team and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is perfect if you:

This role is all about supporting, serving, and keeping things running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

Kitchen Support

• Serve meals and snacks to children
• Prepare and organise meal areas
• Support with clearing, cleaning, and resetting after mealtimes
• Always follow food hygiene and safety procedures

Environment

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the nursery
• Clean and tidy rooms, communal areas, and kitchen spaces
• Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

Supporting the Nursery Team

• Help staff during busy periods (especially mealtimes)
• Support routines and transitions where needed
• Work collaboratively with the team to keep the day running smoothly

Health & Safety

• Follow all health & safety and hygiene procedures
• Support infection control and cleaning routines
• Report any issues or concerns to the management team
