The Role
We’re looking for a reliable, organised Kitchen Assistant / Housekeeping Assistant to support our nursery team and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This role is perfect if you:

This role is all about supporting, serving, and keeping things running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Kitchen Support
- Serve meals and snacks to children
- Prepare and organise meal areas
- Support with clearing, cleaning, and resetting after mealtimes
- Always follow food hygiene and safety procedures to a high standard
Housekeeping & Environment
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the nursery
- Clean and tidy rooms, communal areas, and kitchen spaces
- Support laundry, dishwashing, and general upkeep
- Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Supporting the Nursery Team
- Help staff during busy periods (especially mealtimes)
- Support routines and transitions where needed
- Work collaboratively with the team to keep the day running smoothly
Health & Safety
- Follow all health & safety and hygiene procedures
- Support infection control and cleaning routines
- Report any issues or concerns to the management team

What Your Day Might Look Like
- 9:00am – Arrive, prep kitchen and nursery areas
- 11:30am – Clean, reset, and organise spaces
- 12:00pm – Serve lunch and support children during mealtimes
- 1:30pm – Support team where needed
- 3:00pm – General cleaning and housekeeping tasks
- 4:30pm – Final tidy and prep for the next day
- 5:00pm – Head home!
