We are recruiting for an experienced Territory Manager to manage and grow sales across the Midlands. This is a field-based commercial role focused on developing NHS and private sector accounts within a specialist surgical therapy area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of specialist implantable surgical products, associated consumables and related solutions, while providing high-quality technical, clinical and commercial support to customers. This role requires strong territory management, confidence in theatre environments, excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to sell complex technical products based on value, differentiation and clinical benefit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow sales across an assigned Midlands territory, achieving agreed sales targets and increasing market share.
  • Build strong relationships with NHS and private sector customers, including consultants, surgeons, theatre teams, procurement, clinical leads and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as the key point of contact for existing accounts, ensuring high levels of service, support and account retention.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through stakeholder mapping, account planning and structured territory development.
  • Present the benefits and differentiators of specialist surgical products, associated consumables and new product technologies.
  • Provide technical product demonstrations, customer training and guided support to ensure safe, confident and competent product use.
  • Support customers with product-related queries, product selection, outcome data, staff training and service development where required.
  • Work collaboratively with product specialists, equipment specialists, sales colleagues, customer service and marketing teams.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and use competitor insight to support effective selling.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM systems, including accurate forecasting, activity tracking and reporting.
  • Prepare territory business plans, focus account plans and clear action plans to support growth.
  • Support the launch and implementation of new products within the therapy area.
  • Maintain high professional standards in clinical and theatre environments, including compliance with relevant policies, infection prevention, confidentiality and ethical standards.
About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background within medical devices, surgical products, healthcare or another relevant clinical environment. Experience selling into theatre or complex hospital environments would be highly advantageous.

You will be commercially driven, highly organised and confident engaging with a broad range of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. You should be able to absorb detailed technical information and translate it into clear, compelling customer conversations.

  • Proven track record of growing sales and delivering against commercial targets.
  • Experience selling complex products or solutions into healthcare, medical device or clinical environments.
  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of structured sales processes, account planning and pipeline management.
  • Confidence presenting technical, clinical or scientific information to healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to deliver product training, demonstrations and customer support.
  • Strong CRM discipline, including accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Professional, ethical and confident working in hospital, clinical or theatre settings.
  • Strong work ethic, resilience, curiosity and a growth mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands territory.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience within surgical medical device sales.
  • Experience selling theatre-based products, implantable devices, capital equipment, consumables or technically differentiated healthcare products.
  • Knowledge of NHS structures, procurement routes, tenders or framework agreements.
  • Experience working with both NHS and private sector healthcare accounts.
  • Previous involvement in new product launches or complex product implementation.
