Finitas are partnering with a boutique London market broker in their search for an IT Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing first line technical support, running reports, conducting disaster recovery testing, and managing IT assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first line technical support, responding to support queries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service when addressing support issues.
  • Take ownership of support issues and seek closure, escalating more complex calls to third party IT support.
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive list of all support calls.
  • Perform regular performance testing on the network.
  • Monitor and address blocked emails in the spam filter.
  • Check scheduled reports and troubleshoot any failures.
  • Update analysis using existing batch files, PowerShell scripts, and VBA code.
  • Run reports and analyse data in SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Create dashboards and analyse data in Power BI.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery tests, working closely with external IT support and internal staff.
  • Document test results and provide recommendations for future tests.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets.
  • Conduct quarterly user reviews.
  • Review versions of software in use.
  • Assist the IT Manager with project work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of IT experience in a 1st line support role.
  • Must have experience working in the Insurance industry.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of computer systems and networks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
