Finitas are delighted to be working with a leading insurer who offers specialty commercial and reinsurance products globally. They are seeking a talented Credit Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. In this role you will be responsible for conducting financial and credit risk analysis on credit proposals submitted by Underwriters for existing and new counterparties.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a thorough assessment of the counterparty's creditworthiness.
- Review proposed credit limits within the context of risk tolerance.
- Determine the Obligor rating, utilising external rating agency data, internal rating tools, and collaborating with Underwriters to understand risks in deal structures.
- Assist the Credit Risk Manager in setting exposure limits for obligors and countries based on detailed credit and macroeconomic analysis.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate behaviours outlined in the Conduct Risk Policy, placing customers at the centre of our business and acting with integrity.
- Minimum 3 years of Credit Risk Analysis experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Over 1 year of political and credit risk insurance underwriting, project or asset-backed finance.
- Broad knowledge of financing techniques and different types of financial instruments is a plus.
